African Man Who Became A Prince In England After Being Sold To Slavery

The supposed mistake of a father, then a slave merchant, ended up making his son a prince in England.
This is a story of a young man, William Ansah Sasreku, born 1736, in Ghana.
William was sold by his h father in error but ended up becoming a prince in England.
A report by Ghanamuseum.com stated that Williams journey into fame commenced when he was just eight years old at this time.
His father who dealt in sales of slaves in Ghana sent his son to study english in England to enhance the slave activities.
However, history shows that the very young Williams, son of John Bannishee Corrantee was abducted and sold into slavery in Barbados .
Realising what happened Williams father used his influenece in the slave business to ensure his sons freedom and this started the story of his success in England.
Arriving in London, Williams was said to have been taken care of as a high profile figure and quickly became known as the 'Prince of Annamaboe' now known as Anomabo.
As a result of this his story is being used and preserved as forms of poetry,, drama and painting.
Indeed Destiny can be fulfiled in any place.
